We are now taking orders for our 2009 Wavemaker's Championship T-Shirt. All orders must be dropped in the swim team box with payment by Tuesday July 7. Final orders will also be accepted at the Winwood meet that night. The order form is available online. You can see a mock-up of the shirt here.
Beckett Invitational Sign-Ups
The Beckett Ridge Invitational will be held Saturday July 18, the sign-up sheet is available online. We highly encourage you to enter your child into this invitational. Each swimmer may enter 5 individual events. The coaches will put together relays once they know who is entering the meet. Each event costs $4.00. Please make checks payable to Lakota Hills Swim Team and put your form and check into the swim team box by July 8. There is also an order of events list available online. More information available at the Beckett Ridge web site.Also, a reminder that your sign-up for Championships is due by July 11 in the swim team box (there is no payment for this meet). The form is available online. If you will not be swimming in the Championship meet, we ask that you still fill out a form and drop it off to let the coaching staff know.
Wetherington Home Meet Thursday July 9
We have 2 meets next week. We have our usual away meet at Winwood on Tuesday July 7. Our next home meet is Thursday July 9 against Wetherington. We are asking that parents of our 11- and 12-year old swimmers bring food donations for the Ways & Means food sale (although anyone is welcome to bring a donation!). Also, we are in need of a few additional workers to help with the food sales. Finally, for the Wetherington meet we need a few volunteers to help with the young swimmers. These are all great opportunities to complete your 3 job requirements.Beckett Ridge Dual Meet Results
Although we came up just a few points short in the end, our Wavemakers team swam great against Beckett Ridge, and it came down to the final relay events before the winner could be determined. Beckett results are now available online. Individual results from last week's meets at Four Bridges and Fairfield City are also available, as are all of our meets, on our results page. Also posted on the results page are the complete set of race times for each swimmer, season-to-date as of June 30.
Spiritware and Sign-ups Sheets
Although the initial order has already been placed, Kristin Henley is still taking orders for Lakota Hills Spirit Wear, an order form is available on-line. Check out the shirts, bags, sweatshirts and towels using the cool, new logo (designed by Michael Henley, and as seen on our updated web site).
